Heat 3: Murchison Sport, Recreation & Cultural Centre – 7 November 2009

Top Team 2009 follows the tradition of the popular Top Town television series which finished screening in 1990.

There will be three Heats:

Motueka Recreation Centre - 17 October
Saxton Field - 1 November
Murchison Sport, Recreation and Cultural Centre - 7 November.

Mixed gender teams of six to eight players will compete over 15 games. Chariot races, tractor pull, tug o' war ... loads of good ol' fashioned fun and games!

Teams from the Murchison, Tapawera, Lakes, Blenheim and West Coast areas are encouraged to enter the Murchison Heat on 7 November.

Businesses, sports clubs, families, friends ... get your team together, break out those stubbies and terry towelling hats and grow that handlebar moustache (moustache optional for women).

The top four teams from each of the 3 Heats will then go into the finals at the Moutere Hills Community Centre to be held on 13 December 2009.

There will be great prizes for the winning teams. Pipe bands, cheer squads, marching girls and mascots are encouraged.
