About Phil Austen & The Bayonets
Hey I've been playing and listening to music since I was a kid, started with saxophone in a Jazz and Concert band but got over the fact that I couldn't sing! So I picked up guitar in my 20's and started writing. I have been put on a few albums to date: Primal Acoustic sessions and Base, and am loving playing where ever I can. My influences range from international acts such as Coldplay and Ryan Adams to local homegrown talent Lydia Cole, Mali and Artisan Guns.
